The curved roof softens the impact of the house on the hillside, and the use of zincalume panels in conjunction with textured painted panels allows the house to blend into its surrounds. The cantilevered verandah, with the use of stainless steel wire rails, allows an unimpeded view from all main rooms of the valley below. The interior is designed around a large kitchen, dining and lounge area with the feature being a five metre high ceiling in the kitchen with a large window facing to the south east. This, coupled with a glass wall on the west side, allows minimal use of electric lighting in the morning and early evenings.
