Hedger Constructions Receives MBAV Best Sustainable Home Award for Northern Region 2024

Hedger Constructions is proud to have received the Best Sustainable Home Award in the MBAV Northern Regional Building Awards 2024.

The winning property, Huff ‘n’ Puff Haus is Australia’s first strawbale home to achieve Passivhaus Premium Level Certification, the highest level of certification available. This unique off-grid home is a self-sustaining haven, generating more energy than it consumes. Recognised for it’s ethical material choices, innovation and craftsmanship, this result is truly a testament to the build team, going above and beyond to deliver the client’s ambitious vision.

We are grateful to the wonderful Hedger Constructions team and our valued clients for entrusting us to build this outstanding home. It will now progress for consideration in the MBAV state-wide awards, with state winners announced in October.
