With its 12-degree roof pitch, clever selection of earthy cladding materials and a selective glazing package, this home perfectly harmonises with the surrounding countryside. An open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is at the heart of this home. The focus of the space is the centrally placed triple-sided woodfire sitting on a hearth lined in imported Mongolian stone, whilst the stunning feature chimney highlights the bespoke high timber ceiling and openness of this area.
Ideal for entertaining guests, the kitchen is flooded with natural light via an impressive glazing package including electric opening clerestroy windows. Stone benchtops with a waterfall end island bench are a feature, whilst the generously proportioned butler’s pantry provides a functional workspace for preparation.
Interiors throughout this showpiece home were developed through a productive relationship between Hedger Constructions, the owner and interior designer, Alisha McGilp of Studio McGilp. Beautifully complementing the rustic ambiance created throughout the home, is the extensive undercover outdoor area. This space features a wide outdoor open fireplace and yellow stringybark decking, which plays into the neutral colouring of the surrounding landscape.
