Project Description

2005 Award

MBAV Best Renovation/Addition over $200,000 Award – North Region 2005

PROJECT DETAILS

Originally an 8.5 square western red cedar cottage this home has been transformed into 40 + squares of country residence. The renovation involved extending and revamping the original bathroom & kitchen, extending the guest room, family room and main bedroom and adding an ensuite. The extensions at both ends of the house have 45 degree pitch cathedral ceilings, lined with corrugated iron adding to the rustic appeal. The living areas in the northern wing are open-plan on 3 split levels creating an imposing spaciousness with breathtaking views. The home also includes an art studio, gymnasium and library and an outdoor entertaining area designed to work in with all seasons of the year.
